Korean fried chicken chain opening 2 new Bay Area locations

( KRON ) — A popular Korean fried chicken chain is opening two new locations in the Bay Area. bb.q Chicken is opening in Oakland and San Bruno, according to its website.

The Oakland location will open at 5295 College Ave. The San Bruno restaurant will be at 851 Cherry Ave. in the Bayhill Shopping Center near Local Kitchens and Hashes & Brews.

bb.q’s website did not say when the two restaurants will open but said “coming soon.”

Popular Bay Area Pho chain opens new location in South San Francisco

As of now, there are four bb.q Chicken locations in the South Bay: Cupertino, Milpitas, Sunnyvale and San Jose.

The chain serves 14 different fried chicken flavors, including Honey Garlic, Golden Original and Gangnam Style. bb.q Chicken offers breasts, thighs, boneless and/or traditional bone-in wings. The assortment of flavors varies by location.

Topgolf set to open in Burlingame this year

bb.q, which stands for “Best of the Best Quality,” was founded in South Korea by Yoon Hong-guen in 1995. It opened its first U.S. location in 2014. The company has since opened more than 3,500 restaurants across 57 countries.
