A spree of violent armed robberies that struck the heart of San Francisco has resulted in a conviction for Fairfield resident Gerardo Saavedra. On the night spanning September 8 and September 9, 2023, Saavedra, 25, robbed multiple victims at gunpoint before being apprehended by San Francisco Police. According to a press release from the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, Saavedra was convicted of five counts of second-degree robbery and one count of unlawful possession of a concealed firearm.
