San Jose police arrest Fremont man for human trafficking

SAN JOSE, California ( MyCaliforniaNews.com )— A 44-year-old Fremont man has been arrested for operating a residential brothel in San Jose, according to the San Jose Police Department. The arrest followed a month-long investigation by the department’s Human Trafficking Task Force.Zhen Wang was taken into custody on December 20, 2024, after a search warrant was executed at a residence on the 80 block of S. 24th Street. During the operation, two adult female human trafficking survivors were found and provided with resources, and approximately $10,000 in cash was seized, stated the press release from the department.Wang was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of pimping and pandering. The operation was supported by the SJPD Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, SJPD Patrol Officers, the Diplomatic Security Service for the U.S. Department of State, and the Santa Clara County Law Enforcement Investigating Human Trafficking Task Force.The San Jose Police Department encourages anyone with information on human trafficking to contact their Human Trafficking Task Force at (408) 537-1999.
