Concord police swiftly apprehend armed robbery suspects

CONCORD, California — Concord police officers responded to an armed robbery report near Pacheco Street and Mt. Diablo Street around 9 p.m. last night. Officers quickly apprehended two suspects and recovered loaded firearms and stolen property, according to a press release from the Concord Police Department.The first officer arrived on the scene within approximately 30 seconds of the initial call, thanks to prompt dispatching. Within two minutes, an officer spotted two individuals matching the suspects’ descriptions in a nearby parking lot. The suspects fled, prompting a foot pursuit, but were quickly apprehended. Both suspects, identified as juveniles, were arrested, booked at the Concord Jail, and transported to Juvenile Hall.Patrol officers continued their investigation and later identified a third suspect, who was also taken into custody and transported to Juvenile Hall. The Concord Police Department highlighted the dedication and swift action of their officers in ensuring community safety. They also thanked the victim for providing timely information that aided in the rapid resolution of the situation.Due to the suspects being juveniles, their names are not being released, in accordance with state law.
