Oakland man arrested after search of vehicle leads to the discovery of 26 pounds of suspected cocaine

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. – A Oakland man was taken into custody by the Shasta County Interagency Narcotics Task Force (SINTF) Tuesday after a traffic stop for a violation resulted in the discovery of more than 25 pounds of suspected cocaine.

Authorities say that on Tuesday at around 10:30 a.m., an officer with the California Highway Patrol pulled a vehicle that was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 for a traffic violation in the area of Lakehead.
