California Weather Alert: Thunderstorms Return to Sacramento Valley and Sierra by Wednesday Morning

Sacramento, CA – A round of potentially disruptive thunderstorms is expected to return Wednesday morning to Northern California, bringing lightning, gusty winds, and pockets of small hail across a wide swath of the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Sacramento, there is a 15% to 35% probability of thunderstorms developing on March 26 across the northern and central Sacramento Valley, adjacent foothills, and the Sierra. The system may trigger brief but intense rain, as well as localized lightning strikes and wind gusts capable of downing small branches.

The weather service emphasized that residents in the impacted regions should remain alert for sudden changes in conditions.
