Ex-Danville police officer convicted in deadly shooting released from San Quentin

A former Danville police officer was released on parole from San Quentin State Prison on Friday after serving less than three years for the 2018 shooting death of a 33-year-old Bay Area man.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed that Andrew Hall, 35, was released on parole Friday “after serving his full sentence as required by law.”

In 2021, a Contra Costa County jury found Hall guilty of assault with a firearm, a felony charge that stemmed from a November 2018 on-duty encounter in which Hall shot Laudemer Arboleda nine times, killing him.
