Last Friday, the streets of Colma witnessed a near miss followed by a tense encounter between law enforcement and an alleged DUI suspect. A pedestrian’s morning stroll turned precarious on the 1300 block of Mission Road when they were reportedly nearly hit by a red sedan, described in detail to the Colma Police, who moved swiftly.
Upon receiving the alert at 7:20 AM, Colma Police officers quickly descended upon the scene, scanning the vicinity for the suspect vehicle. According to a social media post from the Colma Police Department, they didn’t have to look long before spotting the car emerging from a residential complex. Efforts to smoothly bring the vehicle to a stop were met with resistance, as the driver opted to keep driving southbound on Mission Road instead.
