A Bay Area high school student died Thursday after suffering serious injuries from a beach accident last weekend, loved ones and school officials said.
Amin Noroozi, a 17-year-old junior at Acalanes High School in Lafayette, was recovering from a “serious accident” that occurred Sunday at Stinson Beach in Marin County, according to the school’s principal Eric Shawn, and family friend Jane Smith.
“Amin was enjoying a sunny afternoon at the beach with friends. … Then, in an unexpected instant, everything changed,” according to a GoFundMe campaign .
