California Highway Patrol arrests two on multiple felony charges

OAKLAND, California — A traffic stop by the California Highway Patrol’s Oakland Safe Streets Task Force led to the arrest of two individuals on multiple felony charges. The incident occurred when officers observed a gray Pontiac Grand Prix traveling without license plates near International Blvd.During the stop, officers discovered the driver, who was on active parole for assault with a deadly weapon, in possession of multiple illegal narcotics. The front passenger was also found with suspected narcotics and a loaded pistol concealed in an open jacket, according to the California Highway Patrol.
