The grandfather of a 3-year-old boy who fatally shot himself in Antioch was charged with two felonies — criminal storage of a firearm and child endangerment.
Jamal Edward, 51, was charged Monday and is expected to appear in court for an initial hearing June 3, according to court records and the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office. Court records show Edward was issued a notice to appear in court for the initial hearing; he remains out of custody.
