Thousands celebrate Richmond’s Cinco de Mayo Festival Sunday

Thousands of people gathered Sunday on 23rd Street in Richmond to celebrate the city’s annual Cinco de Mayo Festival, a colorful, day-long event filled with music, food, and community pride.

Stretching from Rheem to Clinton avenues, the festival featured two live music stages, dozens of food stalls serving traditional Mexican cuisine and others, and demonstrations highlighting the region’s Latino heritage.
