The Hercules Police Department announced that a tip jar thief was arrested thanks to Flock camera notification,
On May 16, 2025, at 8:49 PM, officers were dispatched to Mazatlan Taqueria for a report of a theft. The suspect recognized by the employee as a regular entered the restaurant wearing a medical mask covering his face. The suspect stole the tip jar containing approximately $200. When confronted outside by the employee, the suspect made a threatening motion toward his waistband, causing the employee to fear for her safety. The suspect fled in a sliver Nissan Murano.
According to police, through diligent investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect, a male out of Hercules, who was currently on Postrelease Community Supervision (PRCS)and had an outstanding warrant.
