Oakland police are investigating the deaths of three people over the course of five days this week, two of whom were shot and killed and one who died in a homeless encampment from an unknown cause.
On Monday, officers found or were directed to a body in a homeless encampment in the 2800 block of East 12th Street at about 12:45 p.m. while they were helping several local and state agencies clear the area.
