BERKELEY, Calif. Traffic came to a standstill on Interstate 80 in Berkeley on Friday afternoon after law enforcement say a chase across the bridge ensued after an attempted carjacking in San Francisco.

What we know:

The California Highway Patrol and San Francisco Police Department said three suspects tried to carjack a victim at Mariposa and Kansas in the Potrero Hill neighborhood.

SFPD said undercover officers with the department witnessed the attempted carjacking at 1:33 p.m.
