A man from Piedmont was arrested for DUI in the early hours of May 24. Police contacted the man at approximately 12:12 a.m. near Ramona Avenue after the vehicle was observed speeding and weaving, according to Piedmont Police Captain Chris Monahan. He said a chemical sample was taken and that unspent ammunition was found on his person in violation of a gun violence restraining order.
The suspect was taken to Santa Rita Jail in Dublin.
At 9:53 a.m. on May 28, Piedmont police found a black Nissan Maxima parked at Harrison Street and Stanley Place that appeared to be abandoned, according to Captain Monahan. He said the rear trunk and front hood were both open, two wheels were taken off the vehicle and the back window was smashed.
