SFPD officer injured during suspect arrest in the Tenderloin

A police officer was injured Tuesday while attempting to arrest a person in the Tenderloin district, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Officers attempted to detain a wanted subject on the 400 block of Eddy Street around 12:30 p.m. The suspect ran, and a pursuit followed in which an officer was hurt when a glass door shattered as he ran after the suspect, according to authorities. It was not immediately clear what caused the glass to shatter.

The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody, police said. The officer was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries…
