Oakalnd: Suspect In Deadly Hit-And-Run Turns Himself In To Authorities

A man accused of a fatal hit-and-run collision with a pedestrian in May has turned himself in to authorities, police said Monday.

James Smith, 61, turned himself at an Alameda County Sheriff’s office on May 31, according to Oakland police officials.

Simth is accused of vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident and several a slew of other offenses. He is being held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin without bail, according to court records…
