Protests in San Francisco denouncing California ICE raids held for second day

Hundreds of people in San Francisco marched in the Mission District Monday to protest the ongoing Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids in California, the second straight day of largely peaceful protests marred by incidents of violence and arrests.

The protest began at Mission Street and 24th Avenue at around 6 p.m. An earlier, separate rally was held at City Hall to speak out against the ICE raids and President Trump’s travel ban.

“The people in our federal government, who are making decisions to put troops on the streets and to round up members of our community, need to see we are not with them and that we will stand against them,” one protester told CBS News Bay Area…
