An armed robbery in Oakland has led to the arrest of three individuals, following an incident that occurred on Sunday, the Oakland Police Department reported. Just before 10:15 PM, two suspects reportedly threatened a victim with an object in a commercial establishment on the 2400 block of MacArthur Boulevard, making off with cash and cigarettes.
Officers responded, arriving on the scene and informing the victim of the situation; shortly thereafter, the suspect’s vehicle was spotted near 62nd Avenue and Eastlawn Street at approximately 10:30 PM, where police tried to initiate an enforcement stop. The suspects refused to stop and then collided into an unoccupied parked car on the 1400 block of 78th Avenue and took off running, according to the Oakland Police Department.
In the ensuing chaos, one suspect was seen with a firearm before patrol officers were able to apprehend all three individuals involved and recover the weapon in question.
