A long-delayed supportive housing project is opening its doors to 39 formerly homeless residents, each of whom will move into a private studio.
Located at 1367 University Ave., near Target and Strawberry Creek Park, the three-story building, called Step Up Housing, features roughly 200-square-foot units with kitchenettes and bathrooms, a secured entrance, wraparound balconies, a community kitchen and a shared courtyard for events and programming.
