(KRON) — A mountain lion was captured on home surveillance video as it roamed near a residence in Contra Costa County on Tuesday morning. Now, authorities are asking the public to take extra precautions.

The Brentwood Police Department said the incident happened in the area of Fairview Avenue and San Jose Drive. The time of the sighting was not disclosed, and it is not known what direction the lion was last seen heading to next.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has since been notified, according to BPD.
There have been no reports so far of any confrontations with the animal or injuries.
