Bay Area nursing home employee arrested for stealing from residents: sheriff

(KRON) — An employee at a nursing home in Sonoma was arrested in July for allegedly stealing from the home’s residents.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest after numerous items were reported missing from residents’ rooms over the course of several months.

“In response to the ongoing thefts, facility management installed a motion-activated camera in the room of a resident who had recently passed away,” SCSO said. “The camera captured an employee entering the room and removing personal items.”
