Fremont boy still missing after 16 years

(KRON) — Hassani Campbell was five years old when he vanished in Oakland on August 10, 2009. At the time of his disappearance 16 years ago, he weighed 40 pounds, stood 3-feet-tall, wore leg braces, and lived in Fremont with foster parents.

This week, the Polly Klaas Foundation highlighted Campbell’s case with hopes that he will finally be found.

Campbell reportedly disappeared after he was left alone inside a car parked outside a shoe store on College Avenue in Oakland. His whereabouts and wellbeing have remained a mystery ever since.

An age-progressed photograph created by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children shows what Campbell may look like today. He would be 21 years old.

The Polly Klaas Foundation has helped thousands of families find their missing children.
