A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was shot Monday in the middle of the afternoon on one of the Mission District’s busiest streets, San Francisco police said.
The San Francisco Police Department told the Chronicle the shooting happened at 2:57 p.m. on the 1900 block of Mission Street. The officers who responded to the scene were from Mission Station and were nearby when the gunfire erupted, police said.
Officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately began rendering aid, police said. When paramedics arrived, they transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries…
