Emeryville: Turns Out Those Kids Really Weren’t Old Enough To Buy Booze

Two underage decoys succeeded in buying alcohol from an unwary salesclerk Wednesday under the watchful eyes of Emeryville police and state liquor agents.

The clerk faces a fine of at least $250 and 24 to 32 hours of community service. A business that furnishes alcohol to someone under 21 can lose its liquor license.
