The man fatally shot by a Santa Clara officer this week had been stabbing his roommate, Police Chief Cory Morgan said Friday.
The stabbing began around 6 a.m. Wednesday when someone inside a home on the 1800 block of Eisenhower Drive called 911 to report a man was attacking his roommate. An officer, later identified as Robert Allsup, arrived and kicked down the locked front door after hearing “loud commotion” inside, Morgan said
Allsup found a man straddling a roommate and raising a knife into a striking position when the officer fired four shots that all hit the man, Morgan said. The man died in a local hospital around 7:20 a.m. Authorities have not yet released his name…
