After more than six decades in business, Rite Aid has shut down all of its remaining stores — including about two dozen in the Bay Area — closing the book on one of America’s most recognizable pharmacy chains.
“All Rite Aid stores have now closed. We thank our loyal customers for their many years of support,” reads a message on the company’s website, which now directs former customers to access their prescription and immunization records.
