In Sonoma County, a courier involved in an elaborate cash delivery con has been apprehended, the Sonoma Sheriff’s Office reports. Over the past few weeks, residents of the Windsor area have been targeted by a scam in which they were duped into believing their bank accounts had been compromised. Perpetrators, posing as federal officials, convinced victims to withdraw funds and hand them over to couriers for “safekeeping,” per the Sonoma Sheriff.
