SF woman faces pimping charges after missing teen found at hotel

(KRON) — A 23-year-old San Francisco woman faces multiple charges, including human trafficking of a minor, after police found her along with a missing at-risk 17-year-old East Coast girl at a hotel in South San Francisco, police said.

“Detectives went undercover and responded to an online posting which depicted the victim and advertised commercial sex services,” said South San Francisco police.

Police said detectives were directed to a hotel Tuesday on the 1300 block of Veterans Boulevard where they located the teenager and arrested the suspected sex trafficker, identified as Liliana Mejia.

Mejia also faces pimping and pandering charges, according to police. The girl was taken into protective custody.
