Hit and run driver kills pedestrian in S.F.’s Outer Mission

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in San Francisco on Wednesday evening, police said. San Francisco police officers responded just after 6 p.m. to the 5500 block of Mission Street in the Outer Mission on reports of a collision involving a pedestrian, according to the department. When officers arrived, they found an injured pedestrian. Despite efforts to save the pedestrian’s life, the person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver fled in the vehicle involved, officials said, so authorities are looking for any information on the incident.
