Bay Area Rapid Transit service through downtown Oakland was disrupted Friday morning after an unauthorized person entered the tracks, causing delays during commute hours.
BART alerted riders shortly before 11 a.m. that trains were running behind schedule between the MacArthur and 19th Street stations, a busy stretch of the system.
In its first advisory, the agency said, “There is a 10-minute delay in Downtown Oakland due to an unauthorized person in the track between MacArthur and 19th St. station.”…
