San Francisco Man Sentenced to Over 25 Years for Multiple Rape Charges Involving Family Members

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced a significant sentencing in a sexual assault case, as reported earlier by the DA’s office. Sergio Alvarado, 60, has been sentenced to over 25 years in state prison following his conviction on multiple counts of rape and other serious sexual assault charges. These charges stem from incidents dating back to 2014 and as recent as 2019, involving victims who were related to him.

In what the district attorney’s office describes, Mr. Alvarado has finally been brought to justice for the crimes he committed against vulnerable members of his own family. His dubious actions have led to a prison term of 25 years and four months, a sentence handed down by the Honorable Judge Brian Ferrall. Running a long course, the victims partnered with the DA’s office throughout the trial process, praised by DA Jenkins for their strength and courage.

According to the DA’s office, Alvarado was convicted on three counts of forcible rape and one count of forcible oral copulation, concerning assaults that took place in 2014. The other charges, for an incident in 2019, include one count of attempted forcible oral copulation on a minor and one count of assault.
