6 Displaced in Early Morning California Home Fire
I woke up to news that six people in Walnut Creek had their lives turned upside down in just a few minutes. Early Wednesday morning, firefighters rushed to a home on the 2100 block of Stewart Avenue after a garage fire was reported. When crews arrived around 6:37 a.m., thick smoke and heavy flames were already billowing from the house.
You can imagine the chaos and fear that must have gripped the residents as they tried to make sense of what was happening.
By shortly before 7 a.m., the fire was knocked down, thanks to the swift response of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. While no injuries were reported, the six residents were displaced, forced to leave their home with only what they could carry.
