GPS Tracker Leads Police To Woman Accused Of Stealing Over $7,000 In Cosmetics

A California woman is facing charges for allegedly stealing more than $7,000 worth of cosmetics after a GPS tracking device led police to her location.

The Vallejo Police Department said officers responded on Dec. 14 to a reported retail theft at a business on the 100 block of Plaza Drive. Along with providing a description of the suspect and her vehicle, employees reported that among the stolen cosmetic products was an item that contained a GPS tracking device.

Officers monitored the GPS tracker as the suspect fled the area on westbound Interstate 80 toward San Pablo. The San Pablo Police Department responded to assist and located the suspect’s vehicle. Vallejo police responded to the scene and confirmed the suspect’s identity against surveillance video provided by the business. A search of the vehicle revealed the stolen merchandise inside…
