(KRON) — There is an ongoing investigation after a person was killed at an IHOP restaurant in Richmond on Monday afternoon, the Richmond Police Department announced on social media. Around 1:43 p.m., officers responded to the restaurant at 3401 Klose Way for “reports of an injured person.”
Richmond police and emergency medics arrived at the scene and located an unconscious individual suffering from injuries that “did not appear to be accidental,” the department wrote. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the restaurant, added police.
An IHOP spokesperson tells KRON4 the victim was a team member. According to KRON4 sources, the employee died in the restaurant’s kitchen from a gunshot wound. Sources added the victim was a man in his 30s. It is not clear what led to the incident…
