A 31-year-old man is in critical but stable condition after being shot multiple times Tuesday night during a confrontation in East Oakland, according to police. The gunfire broke out around 7:25 PM in the 900 block of 87th Avenue, where the two men clashed outside before shots were fired. The suspected shooter ran off on foot before officers arrived, leaving detectives to comb the street for clues.

Investigators found numerous shell casings scattered across the area, which they said appeared to have been fired from a semi-automatic pistol.
