San Francisco’s Bottom of the Hill plans to close after 35 years

For more than three decades, Bottom of the Hill has been the kind of place where bands arrived in vans, careers were jump-started, and audiences squeezed close enough to feel the music in their chests.

Now the independent San Francisco rock club says it will close at the end of 2026, bringing an era of the city’s live music history to a close.
