Reflections and Resolutions
The first report of the year always causes me much consternation over how to approach the anniversary of the passing of the original Roving Reporter—Bear. It was on January 2, 2021 that my human companion (HC) had to make the unfathomable decision of allowing him to make the final walk over the rainbow bridge. This anniversary brings with it a touch of melancholy to my house during an otherwise optimistic time of the year.
In looking back on all the first reports of the year I penned on how to acknowledge this anniversary, I think the most appropriate is to invite readers to remember and share the fond memories they have about the time spent with their pets and the contributions a pet can make to improve the quality of life for their HCs.
