The Porterville Police Department is investigating a human trafficking case that resulted in the arrest of a Richmond man following a multi-agency operation.
On December 29, a female victim reported being contacted by an adult male through the social media platform Snapchat. Investigators identified the suspect as Mario Anthony Godinez (20) of Richmond, California. Detectives determined Godinez arranged to meet the victim in Porterville and subsequently transported her to his residence in Richmond, where she remained for several days before being returned to Porterville.
