A prolific retail thief received a five-year sentence for stealing from stores throughout Northern California, including in every Bay Area county, according to the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office.
Shawn Naputi was charged with 56 counts of felony theft in the spree spanning October 2023 to May 2025, the DA’s office said in a statement. Naputi, 42, of Richmond pleaded no contest to six of them in exchange for a sentence of five years and four months, with two years to be served in custody and the remainder under mandatory supervision.
