A late-night assault call at a West Oakland home turned into a major gun seizure Monday, after Oakland police hit the residence with a search warrant and uncovered what they describe as a substantial cache of weapons. Officers say they found multiple firearms, magazines, and a large amount of ammunition inside. Officials have not yet released any information on arrests or charges.
In a post on X, the Oakland Police Department said West Oakland patrol officers responded to the reported assault just before 10:30 PM, then served a search warrant at the home.
