(KRON) — Police released videos on Wednesday showing a burglary crew breaking into vehicles that were parked in a Walnut Creek neighborhood before officers chased the group all the way to Oakland.
The incident happened on Jan. 31, the Walnut Creek Police Department said.
Surveillance cameras recorded the thieves as they shattered cars’ windows and grabbed items to steal. After a blaring car alarm activated, the group began running away.
Officers saw the suspects’ car leaving the area at a high rate of speed. A pursuit was initiated and continued on Highway 13 in Oakland. Several people bolted out of the car while it was still rolling and fled, dash camera video from one officer’s patrol car shows…
