CONCORD, CALIFORNIA – A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday evening (Feb. 20, 2026) in a crash on northbound Interstate 680 near the State Route 242 connection in Pleasant Hill, prompting a major lane closure during the evening commute.
According to a report citing the California Highway Patrol response, the collision happened on northbound I-680 just south of SR-242. CHP officers shut down the four northbound lanes at about 6:19 p.m. as they investigated.
The same report said several vehicles behind the motorcycle were struck by debris and became disabled.
