Victim of violent San Francisco robbery dies

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A victim who was attacked and robbed near Union Square in San Francisco died weeks later in a hospital, police said.

The victim was assaulted and gravely injured during a robbery on February 5 in the area of Bush Street and Taylor Street, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Fourteen days later, undercover SFPD officers spotted the suspect, 34-year-old male Eduardo Cruz Vivero, on Eddy and Leavenworth streets. Vivero, who also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in San Mateo County, was booked into a San Francisco jail.
