South San Francisco man threatened to beat Home Depot guard with axe and bury him, police say

(KRON) — A 35-year-old South San Francisco man faces multiple charges after police said he threatened a Home Depot Pro security guard in an incident last month by saying he was going to “beat him” with an axe and subsequently “bury” him, according to Colma police.

Police said officers responded around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25 to the store located at 91 Colma Boulevard to investigate a report of criminal threats. Colma police learned the suspect allegedly threatened a Home Depot Loss Prevention Officer before driving away in a silver Ford.

Police said officers soon located the suspect driving in the rear of the Metro Mall Shopping Center, where they pulled him over and detained him without incident.

Colma police said the victim told investigators the situation began when the suspect “started a verbal argument with him inside the store and proceeded to threaten his life by telling him he was going to ‘beat him’ with an axe he was carrying and threatened to ‘bury’ him. The male also threatened to find the Loss Prevention Officer after work and harm him.”…
