San Francisco police officers arrested a man accused of stabbing a person at an intersection in Chinatown Thursday afternoon, officials said Friday.
The attack, which was captured on surveillance footage and was shared widely online, occurred just before 1:13 p.m. at the corner of Stockton and Sacramento streets. Officers who arrived on scene located a victim suffering from an apparent stab wound and paramedics transferred him to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials said. The victim remained hospitalized Friday, officials said.
In the aftermath, a person matching the suspect’s description was apprehended near the 600 block of Powell Street. San Francisco Sheriff’s Deputies detained the man. Police officials declined to identify him, citing the “pending investigation.”…
