Suspect in brutal Marina District assault turns himself in, San Francisco police say

A 21-year-old Sacramento man has surrendered to authorities in connection with a violent assault last month in San Francisco’s Marina District that left two people hospitalized, police said.

William Lyons turned himself in at San Francisco County Jail around 8 a.m. Monday and was booked on suspicion of assault likely to produce great bodily injury, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
