A driver was killed in Hayward after a Thursday evening crash that downed a light pole and a tree, authorities said.
At about 6:10 p.m, California Highway Patrol responded to a solo-vehicle crash near the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Ash Street, CHP logs show. The driver was “not moving” when authorities arrived.
