‘Beach takeover’ planned for Albany Bulb Saturday, park police warn

(KRON) — Law enforcement is warning of a planned “beach takeover” for Saturday at Albany Bulb Beach in Albany. According to the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department, the takeover is planned from 6 p.m. until midnight.

Park police will be increasing their presence in the area with plans to have “officers present in significant numbers throughout the evening,” according to EBRPDPD.

“All applicable laws and regulations will be strictly enforced, and there will be zero tolerance for violations,” police said. “We encourage everyone to make safe and responsible decisions.”

The warning about Albany Bulb Beach comes just over a week after similar warnings for planned beach takeovers in Alameda. Park police also increased their presence at two Alameda beaches amid reports of planned takeovers…
